Stopline

Stopline is an independent service that gives you the opportunity to report misconduct that involves IBAC employees, executive officers, contractors or consultants, including:

Reports about improper conduct and fraud and corruption relating to IBAC employees which are Public Interest Disclosures A PID, or Public Interest Disclosure, refers to the disclosure made by a natural person of information that either shows or tends to show, or information that they reasonably believe shows or tends to show, that a person, public officer, or public body has engaged, is engaging, or proposes to engage in improper conduct. Alternatively, it can refer to situations where a public officer or public body has taken, is taking, or proposes to take detrimental action against a person. In essence, a PID is a disclosure that serves the public interest by exposing behavior that goes against ethical and legal standards under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2012 should be made directly to Integrity Oversight Victoria. If you think your report is a Public Interest Disclosure or would like it to be assessed as such, please report directly to Integrity Oversight Victoria.

If you report a public interest disclosure to Stopline instead of Integrity Oversight Victoria, IBAC may be required to redirect your disclosure to Integrity Oversight Victoria. If your complaint is a public interest disclosure and you don’t want it treated in this way, you can opt out of the scheme. We encourage you to seek advice from either Integrity Oversight Victoria or IBAC about what opting out may mean for you.

This reporting service is provided by Stopline to IBAC and is one of the options available to IBAC employees and contractors to report misconduct. Providing this service is part of IBAC’s commitment to fostering a culture of integrity, honesty, respect and professionalism.

A report to Stopline can be made by telephone, mail, email or the online report form on this website. The report will be escalated to the CEO, Director of People, Culture and Capability, and the Executive Director of Legal, Assessment, Review and Compliance at IBAC for triage.
